Dear Chris,

I have been meaning to do this for quite some time but now is as good a time as any to stop and reflect on the past several years associated with your academy. As you know we moved here almost 4 years ago and the first thing we looked for were places to make some new baseball friends as well as a place to help our son Jarrod reach his potential. We found your academy and the rest so to speak is history but here is a quick overview of our experience to date.

For all baseball parents working hard enough to have a successful middle school career and then a successful high school career in baseball is no easy task. But when you have former professional players and extremely successful collegiate athletes teaching your son more efficient ways to succeed without question you increase his odds of success. That has been precisely the case with our son as he started with you prior to his 8th grade season and was blessed with the best year of his life both at the plate and on the mound. In 9th grade he had an amazing JV experience and was moved up to Varsity at the end of that season. In his 10th grade year the rewards of all your teaching and his hard work paid off with an almost too good to be true five different schools showing interest in making him an offer to play Division I baseball. We are now starting what for many families is that all important junior year and in his case (because of your teams efforts) he has already committed to a wonderful academic/athletic college so he can enjoy the journey without as much pressure as others many feel while being scouted/recruited.

Reaching these levels of early success takes a great deal of commitment first of course from the student/athlete and then from the parents both emotionally and financially. Thus we have been steady members of your academy every year since our arrival as we have always told him if he is willing to exchange his time off to work harder than those around him we will write the checks to fund his efforts. Some might even say now that he is committed why keep paying to come to the academy? The answer is still very clear to us as he still has two years of high school baseball that needs to be as successful as possible for him and his team as well as two years with a state wide travel team to get good enough to not just have a college uniform but to play at that level as well.

Without Question the instruction he has received from You, from Nick, from Joey, and from Adam have helped to mold him into a student/athlete with a promising high school career as well as living the dream of playing collegiate division 1 baseball. You have taught him about work ethic as every time Adam sees him he asks if he is the hardest worker he knows. You have taught him about the right mental attitude to have at the plate. He was also mentored as a part of the Coastal Thunder baseball team playing against the top competition in all SC. Then of course you have also taught him to become a master of his own fundamentals. All in all there is not enough room in a one page letter but what you have taught him is indeed priceless. Just know in your heart that you and your associates at the CBA have forever made an impact in his life not just on the baseball field but the other lessons you have taught him that will mold him into a fine young man.

We will be coming to your academy for the next two years until he leaves for college and nothing could be sweeter to me than for him to come home on a break and say he dad let’s go up and workout at the CBA as those are many of the days I will miss the most…

With my kindest personal regards and sincere appreciation,

What the pros are saying about CBA

I want to thank the Coastal Baseball Academy for there hospitality in which they provided me. They have everything needed to enhance the baseball abilities of all youths covering all ages. With the amount of pro baseball players coming through the doors, the Academy is doing something right. I give my complete recommendation to whoever wants to enhance their child's baseball skills.

Tyler Bortnick, Tampa Bay Rays Organization

During the off-season I spent my time training in the facility. I have nothing but good things to say about the CBA and its staff. They provided me the space and equipment to continue working on my game. This is a great learning environment for kids to develop their game.

David Sappelt, Cincinnati Reds Organization

I feel good about steering the public in the direction of the Coastal Baseball Academy for the proper training it takes to elevate their game. The staff went out of there way to provide me what I needed. When I observed the one-on-one lessons I was very impressed with how they speak to the children. They know how to get the best out of the children. I have been to many facilities like CBA and I believe it was one of the best I have visited. Thanks guys!

David Anderson, Baltimore Orioles Organization

During my off-season I helped coach the 16U Thunder showcase team and do one-on-one lessons. It was an experience that benefited me because it gave me the opportunity to help young baseball players. Coastal Baseball Academy's staff is extremely qualified to pass on baseball knowledge to your youths and I recommend there services to everyone around the community. I will definitely be back next off-season and I hope to see you their!

Pete Andrelczyk, Florida Marlins Organization

CBA is an excellent place for your kid to receive the proper training. I love the wavelink of communication that the instructors possess. They really know how to teach the game and there knowledge is second to known. I advise anyone who is serious about propelling there children’s game to the next level to receive the training from the Coastal Baseball Academy. Being a local guy from Conway, I really wish I had the opportunity to be around a facility like this when I was younger. I advise the community to really take a look at this place!

Dock Doyle, NY Mets Organization

The Coastal Baseball Academy is one of the better facilities I have worked out in. The space in the back provided me the room to do my workouts and training. The live mound in the front gave me a good feel for my pitching. I was provided everything essential to continue working on my game.

UC Irvine works out at CBA

While in Myrtle Beach, UC Irvine was in need of an indoor facility in which to work out, and Adam Vrable and the Coastal Baseball Academy graciously opened their doors for us. What we found was a highly organized and extremely well laid-out facility and operation. The facility was first-class with four cages and several mounds, and lots of space to accommodate the needs of any team or individuals. Clearly the Coastal Baseball Academy is set-up to run an outstanding teaching program in an environment well-thought out to help young baseball players develop their skills. Our staff at UCI was very impressed with the detail to which Adam and his staff have gone to offer an unusual opportunity for players progress.
