Coastal Thunder:
The 2009 Coastal Thunder baseball program will have 4 teams. Our 13u, 14u, and 15u teams will be apart of our high school development program. The idea behind this will ultimately help the area's high school coaches in the development of their players and help each program grow stronger. In our high school development program our players learn to play the game hard and play the game right with constant focus on proper fundamentals. Our 17u team is our college showcase team. This team consists of players who all have the opportunity to play in college or beyond. Our 17u team plays in college showcase tournaments that give our players the opportunity to be seen by college coaches and professional scouts.

Head Coach: Tim Graham - Coach Graham will be our head coach for the 13u team. Coach Graham is the head varsity coach for North Myrtle Beach High School. A very dedicated baseball coach who is a great addition to our program; Coach Graham is a big believer in teaching the game right. |

Head Coach: Tim Christy - Coach Christy will be our head coach for the 14u team. Coach Christy is the head varsity coach for Myrtle Beach High School. This is Coach Christy's second year at Myrtle Beach, he came here from Virginia. During his time in Virginia, Coach Christy also coached for Team One, a national program that travels the country. While with Team One, he coached several big leaguers including a long time friend of the Coastal Baseball Academy - Mike Hessman. |

Coaches: Adam Vrable and Scott Sandman. Both Adam and Scott are instructors at the academy. Their complete bios can be read in the staff section of the website. This will be their second season coaching together with Adam coming to us from Coastal Carolina University and Scott coming from Columbine High School in Colorado. Both coaches are proven winners and know how to teach the game. |

Head Coach: Willie James - Willie has been apart of the program since the beginning. Willie is a 7 year minor league veteran who has decided to retire from playing. The former Atlanta Braves farmhand has coached for us at every level. Willie's complete bio can be read in the staff section of the website. Willie is a great coach to lead our 17u team; he has countless connections to the college game and the pro game, our players will be given an added advantage playing for Willie. |
